ABB SpA Power System Division (Italy) attended HSR and PTP training at Flexibilis premises 18-20 November. The training was aimed at strengthening the critical communication technology skills of the ABB Spa Power System Division. The training agenda included PTP, HSR, PRP standards, workshops (i.e. Network Design for Critical Real-Time Applications), testing and hands on trainings focused on ABB’s application. Flexibilis received very positive feedback from the attendees. “The training was very interesting, deeply focused on our application and held by one of the world experts of PTP. Also available time was used efficiently” said Mr. Giacomo Parodi, R&D Specialist - Embedded Systems.



Lattice and Flexibilis announce first FPGA Ethernet switch IP cores with HSR (IEC 62439-3) protocol support

Lattice Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ: LSCC) and Flexibilis Oy today announced immediate availability of the Flexibilis Ethernet Switch (FES) IP cores. FES is available in five versions:
- 6-port FES-HSR (HSR QuadBox)
- 4-port FES-HSR (HSR End-node / RedBox)
- 8-port FES
- 4-port FES
- 3-port FES
Emerging HSR standard, targeted for smart grid substation automation and other critical networking applications, provides redundancy for Ethernet networks. See the press release.



Titan NMS supports Flexibilis XR7

Finnish software company Kilosoft has introduced support for Flexibilis XR7 in their state-of-the-art Network Management System Titan NMS. Titan NMS is a distributed Network Management System that is able to eliminate single points of failure in network management. Titan NMS is based on Open interfaces (XML) and OS independency (Java).



Sensor Network Solution

Flexibilis today announced its architecture for sensor networking. The architecture provides auto-configurability, encryption and authentication at both link and network layers, multi-Gigabit data transfer capability and clock synchronization at nanosecond range.

The solution includes separate products to be used as network nodes specialised for packet forwarding, feeding clock information to the network and interfacing to sensors and other data sources.
